| Broadsword and the Beast - Original
Release 1982 > lan's liner notes Coming nearly three years behind "Stormwatch" and after dramatic lineup changes, "Broadsword" represents a Tull milestone with its foray into electronic instrumentation. Yet, the album masterfully mixes Tull's "traditional" folk influences. The album did particularly well in Germany, even outdoing "Aqualung." The disc contains fan favourites "Pussy Willow," Broadsword," "Clasp," and one of Tull's few and most popular pure love songs "Jack-A-Lynn" penned for Anderson's wife. tracks: Beastie | Clasp | Fallen on Hard Times | Flying Colours | Slow Marching Band | Broadsword | Pussy Willow | Watching Me, Watching You | Seal Driver | Cheerio BONUS TRACKS Jack Frost and the Hooded Crow | Jack-A-Lynn | Mayhem Maybe | Too Many Too | Overhang | Rhythmn in Gold | I'm You Gun | Down at the End of Your Road ORDER NOW > USA Amazon™ > UK Amazon™

Release 1987 > lan's liner notes One of Tull's landmark albums, "Crest" was Tull's most commercially successful 1980's album and first digitally produced. Coming after Ian's noted voice-problems had threatened the band's survival, "Crest" moved Tull away from the electronic influences of its contemporary albums back towards heavier rock and folk. The disc won Tull a Grammy for best heavy metal/rock performance (long subject to ridicule by many music critics and to Ian's often expressed amusement). One of Tull fans' favourite tracks, and also Ian's, "Budapest" appears on the album. tracks: Steel Monkey | Farm on the Freeway | Jump Start | She Said She was a Dancer | Dogs in the Midwinter | Budapest | Mountain Men | Waking Edge | Raising Steam BONUS TRACK Part of the Machine ORDER NOW > USA Amazon™ > UK Amazon™
