Anna Phoebe

Anna Phoebe is a London-based rock violinist who has gained attention as a highly exhilarating and emotive performer. Renowned for playing a bright pink Violectra – a custom-made 6-string electric violin, Anna has made friends all around the world, impressing audiences with her dynamic personality, electrifying stage presence and versatility in many diverse musical genres including Rock, Folk, Jazz, Celtic and Middle Eastern music.

Anna started playing at the age of seven and has toured Europe, the Middle East and the USA extensively. She recently completed Gypsy, her first co-written album of original music which draws upon her love of Arab and Asian music, tinged with Classical and Irish Folk references. She plays both electric and acoustic violins in a “traditional” Rock band setting, for the most part, but with techno and more contemporary sounds woven into the mix. She joins Jethro Tull as special guest from March 2007.
