Surprise - For the Picnic Wicker Basket....

Ian was headed out to Wickham for the Wicker Man festival concert last summer and found this interesting business. Notice, for the eagle-eyed, the owner is J. Tull as well.

Hope those druids don't use the actual wicker man to smoke those meats or worse, they supply the shop.

We jest of course...if you don't know the history behind such events, the Wicker Man is an ancient tradition dating to the Gauls. Unfortunately, it has a reputation of in its heyday of being a human sacrifice due to the Christopher Lee film ("The Wicker Man") or the horrid Nicholas Cage remake last year.

Short verison of reality folks..Julius Ceasar reported such practices as part of his invasion propaganda and there is no confirming information to support his claims (most historians discount a lot of what Ceasar claims about Gauls these days).
